Operations of subverting uses and perceptions work aside strategies of exposing categories and appearances. They result in a display of possibilities made through connections between the way things are in a common order, and the way they can be with a slight movement of the elements involved. A shift of context, a given name, a modification of logic applied. 

Food, the mundane essential, although susceptible to modification and use, is autonomous and independent of critical or symbolic attachments. Its banality and perishable nature contrast with the high density of abstraction intrinsic to language. Thus, both things are entangled in the structure of the present works as part of a complex whole of relationships involving form, image, convention, context and action.

The use of the organic matter is no longer a highlight of its ephemeral condition as a metaphor for art itself, but rather an element of the exercise of art: subordinating of the commonplace to a new formulation.
